Malaysia, A Medical Tourism Destination

For those who have not visited Malaysia, Malaysia is a beautiful and an affordable holiday destination. For those who have visited Malaysia, many make return trips to enjoy her unique Malaysian culture and exotic food. Others are attracted to her rich history and natural attractions. These attractions include popular islands and beaches, tropical rainforests and lush highlands. Malaysia is blessed with a tropical or equatorial climate, which is hot and humid throughout the year.

Malaysia’s popular islands and beaches with their crystal clear waters and beautiful coral reefs offer diving and snorkelling activities for holiday makers. Some of the best islands to visit are PulauPangkor), Sipadan, PulauRedang, PulauTioman, Langkawi, just to name a few.

Other places of interest are Penang (Pearl of Orient), Kuala Lumpur, Malacca (Melaka), Taman Negara, Gunung Mulu National Park, etc. There are also Cameron Highlands, Fraser’s Hill and Genting Highlands for those who wants to relax and enjoy the cool mountain air.

Besides the above attractions, Malaysia has much to offer in terms of medical procedures e.g. plastic surgery. Many medical tourists had procedures such as Breast Augmentation, Face Lift, Rhinoplasty, etc done in Malaysia, by Malaysian doctors and cared for by medical staffs at up-to-date private hospitals. One of the main reason why many medical tourists chose Malaysia is the affordable cost of treatment and accommodation. And together with a holiday planned alongside the medical procedure, the total cost spent is worth more than if the patients chose to have it done in their home country.

If you are worried or have doubt about finding the best doctor in Malaysia, you can check out the listed doctors and clinic at medicaldepartures.com where all the doctors and clinics are strictly screened through. There are currently 131 clinics and hospitals listed under medicaldepartures.com and those interested can compare clinics and all the details that is needed to know about the clinics and doctors. Once you have chosen the clinic of your choice from the list of doctors in Malaysia, you can proceed with the booking for an appointment and get a free quote. If you need to have your questions answered, you can talk to the customer’s care agent at medicaldepartures.com.

  2. I have been to Penang Island and I enjoy the local food especially Penang Assam Laksa. The highlands are great get-away places to avoid the hot sun in the lowlands. Have a wonderful day!
