Matictic River Escapade

Bakas River, Brgy. Matictic, Norzagaray, Bulacan
View from the other side of the river.
My colleagues and I went on a river swim and picnic as we have yet to plan our beach get-away. The weather was just perfect that day, sunny and windy. There weren't many people around so we've had so much fun.

If you are on a budget or you would just like to unwind and be one with mother nature, well, I suggest you try this. With a budget of only P200.00 each we've pulled it through and had a good time. This is a river here in Bulacan called Bakas which are mostly frequented by the locals during summer. But precautions should be made as well when you're going to swim at the river because water level gets high during the afternoon. But all in all it's a safe place.
Nipa cottages by the river
We have rented one cottage at P100.00 just beside the river.
There by the riverside where the water was almost reaching our feet we've enjoyed a boodle fight. This was kind of a "promdi" old-fashion adventure but it's really worthwhile appreciating what's around you.
I can't help but take a foot selfie in the water. It was my first time to ever set foot on a river with a water so clear. My apologies for my ugly feet though.

I initially would not like to go, but truly I have enjoyed and seen the beauty of what was around me. You can see that on my face.
