San Rafael River Adventure

We found a beautiful paradise in our province, San Rafael River Adventure. I came here with my colleagues and we pretty much enjoyed a lovely day not too far from our home in a quiet, relaxing haven.

Tyangge at Sta. Maria Town Feast Day

One reason why my hometown was being heavily visited by people on its feast day was because of the bazaar like/flea market/bargain market parked on the sidewalks and others on the closed streets. The vendors came from many places and just frequently visits every year to sell their goodies. So many items are available on the streets, you will not get tired of walking around seeing bargains everywhere.

After visiting our church, the newly renovated La Purisima Concepcion Parish, which is so beautiful, I'd make a separate blog post for it. My friend and I took a stroll around to find some things to buy. But sadly, it was very hot then it rained. Odd. So we just decided to head home since we have a trip coming the following day we wouldn't want to catch some colds before leaving. Otherwise, we'd be ugly in photos, hehe!

I was not able to take good photos of what's around. There are lots of kitchen wares, housewares and mostly clothes (dresses, denims, tops, leggings, jackets) that are just so cheap and stylish, you can buy a lot with spending only a few bucks.

I've always been proud of my hometown. We are just too warm to let stay this fiesta tradition for a very very long time. Of course, my post has not included most of the households in our Poblacion who've prepared for this yearly event.

Happy weekend everyone!

Marching Band Parade on the Eve of Sta. Maria Bulacan Town Feast

Hello lovelies! I've been so busy lately with lots of things going on around including a short trip. But I promise I'll make up for my lost blogging time the soonest I can.

Let me share with you a tradition in our town every eve of the feast day. The feast is celebrated yearly on the first Thursday of February. The people of Sta. Maria Bulacan, my hometown, look forward to this as well as many other activities held every year. The crowd was bigger this time than usual because it was a local holiday in our province.

The parade started at 8 a.m. then they will go around again around 3 p.m. They will also perform to the place we call "patio" in the evening.

I adore cute little boys like these two.

This last band was from the far Naga City and I felt they have received the most applaud. They're kind of different from the rest.

I truly enjoyed watching. I have an overtime work that day but I finished watching first before going to work.

Happy Week everyone!
