Thrift Find: Gray Dress

            It's a gloomy Tuesday morning here in my side of the planet. I wanted to go out to take a look at my garden and wash a few laundry before the laundry basket gets as tall as a bamboo tree. But because it's raining, I end up back to my bed and to my new laptop. My husband bought this for me because my old one won't work anymore and he knows I love to blog. So here, I am trying my hardest to be active again, because as I have read from some other popular bloggers' posts, consistency is the key. I was not very consistent the last two years, and I feel that I have wasted enough time.

            Anyway, I'd like to share with you a thrift find. My husband and I once goes on a weekend to our Public Market here in my town, and we were able to buy some cheap but good clothes (doesn't look cheap at all). My favorite among them is this comfy gray dress.

Lovin' My New Plates

           I'm going to need several sets of dining wares soon and I am so glad to have found this at a surplus shop near my work place. These are cute plates of similar designs although not exactly the same. I bought six of them.

      Aren't they cute? This has just cost me a few bucks. Good thing I'm really going to be needing this soon.

          I've also found a few others that has cute prints too. I'm excited to use them in my Nipa Hut soon.

Cutie Finds at the Lowest Price

      I recently discovered a thrift store that sells furniture, wooden items, vases and kitchen wares at the lowest price. I saw a wooden furniture that I’d like to buy for my new home which only cost Php5,000.00 but I’m still thinking.

        I bought a few items that I thought were too cute to let go.

        The darker wood will be used as chopping board.

The things I brought home from Baguio!

Well, I've been to Baguio almost a month ago, but I have taken photos of these things and I felt that I should share it. One thing good thing about traveling (for us women) is buying, shopping, etc. Bringing home local items from a place we've been to is always fun.

During our trip, we made sure we were able to go to the local public market of Baguio City. I wanted to bring home some goodies for my family.

I was able to buy this at only Php100.00 all four of them.

 These are strawberry and chocolate crinkles that I bought for all at Php100.00.

This delicious Strawberry and Blueberry wine only cost me Php100.00 for 3 bottles. I served it during our fiesta, it taste sweet and good.

This was my favorite among all those I bought. Yummy choco covered rice flakes. The large one was Php100.00 and the small one was Php50.00.

 This cutie fridge magnets are only 3 for Php100.00. It's made of woods. I've been like trying to buy one wherever I go. Now, if only I have a fridge to put it too. lol.

 I saw this dream catcher in the market but apparently I forgot how much it cost me. They have different colors to choose from, I would like to buy the white one, but I imagined it being invaded by dirt faster than other colors.

This lovely pair of sandals only cost me Php90.00.

 And of course, because we've also been through the strawberry farm, I was able to bring home a kilo of fresh, sweet strawberries and a lot of sunflower seeds.

Shopping at Centris Sunday Market

My husband went to a shooting range last Sunday and while he was there, I let him dropped me off to a Sunday Market somewhere in Quezon City. I was able to discover this while my mom was confined at the hospital years ago and they were somewhere near the hospital. It's at Eton Centris, Quezon Ave., Quezon City and they are open only during Sundays until 2 pm. I particularly wanted to go here because of the little indoor planters I bought and I remember they sell lots of succulents here.

It's been years ago since I've been here and I was not disappointed upon coming back. Succulents flooded in the part of the market where they sell plants. In this particular store, they sell succulents, orchids and Poinsettias at reasonable prices, so when I found them there I bought what I wanted to buy.

I was able to buy this six pieces of different indoor-plant varieties. It only cost 3 for Php100.00 ($2.00 approximate). It's good enough for the many little planters I have. I wanted to buy some orchids but I decided my garden's not ready for it, so I'll just be back next time.

There are other stores there that sell plants and they let me took a photo. Don't get me wrong, this market don't just sell plants, they have all things you might need. From food, clothing, native products and so many others. I enjoyed strolling under the hot sun until my husband's done with his shooting and were ready to fetch me. Thrifty Finds

My colleagues and I went to the mini-mall near us to eat at a fast food during lunchtime and as we passed by a few stores before going back to the office I saw something I really like to buy but there's no time anymore cause we're nearing past our afternoon break and we are front liners so we have to hurry back. Instead, I went back after office to buy some. It was a good buy and I am just glad as I would like to collect these things.

This cute polka lilac planter with a shape of a watering can has been too cute for me to resist. It costs only P175.00 (about $3.80) and big enough enough to carry a bigger house plant. My only problem now is the houseplant I'm going to put in them, it could be either a cacti or some green plant.

Along with it I bought a smaller planter that looks like a little pale. I was not going to buy it but then it only cost P100.00 ($2.10) so I bought it also.

I was able to buy these two little home planters at Lock and Lock. There are other cute finds there but I'm reserving it for next visit.

While I was waiting for my husband to come fetch me at the mini mall, I looked around and visit Japan Home, there, I was able to find this cute yellow floral plate. Too bad, there's only one piece left but I don't mind. I've still gotten it and for only P88.00 (($1.90).

I've found a teacup and saucer set as well for only P66.00 (about more than $1.00). It has a lovely bird design in it.

Found good cute pieces at low prices. I truly enjoyed. I will have something to bring when I already have my own house, two li'l planters, a plate and a teacup and saucer set. hahaha!
